Part 2 of the season debuted on the NHK General channel on January 9 with episode 76, "Danzai" ("Sentencing"). Returning cast members include MAPPA director Yuichiro Hayashi, series scriptwriter Hiroshi Seko, character designer Tomohiro Kishi, and music composers Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto in the second installment. A returning cast is also featured in the anime.

In December 2020, NHK broadcasted the anime 'The Attack on Titan The Final Season.' The anime is being streamed with English subtitles on Funimation and Crunchyroll. The anime premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami programming slot in January 2021, and Funimation began streaming an English version one day after it aired on Toonami.
