One Piece Anime Remake by Wit Studio & Netflix Announced
WIT Studio announced to remake the One Piece anime series again from East Blue Arc.
The announcement of a remake of the anime series at WIT STUDIO capped up the Jump Festa 2024 One Piece special stage. The series, titled THE ONE PIECE, will reconstruct the series beginning with the East Blue arc with fully new animation made at WIT for the anime series' 25th anniversary.
A teaser video was produced, depicting an animator referencing the first manga volume.
WIT STUDIO president George Wada sent a message on the studio's teaser upload expressing his joy and calling creators from all around the world to join the ranks of their crew to assist on the series.
The release also stated that Netflix will distribute THE ONE PIECE, albeit no dates, additional staff, or cast members were provided at the time of publication.
The original version of the East Blue arc is available to watch alongside the rest of One Piece on Crunchyroll.
