PLINIVS manga by Mari Yamazaki and Miki Tori concludes in 5 chapters. Pliny the Elder is the focus of this manga.
On Tuesday, the official Twitter account for Mari Yamazaki and Miki Tori's PLINIVS manga revealed that the manga has reached its final arc.
The story revolves around Pliny the Elder, an eccentric natural historian, praefectus classis in the Roman Navy, philosopher, and bath lover.
In December 2013, Yamazaki and Tori published the manga in Shinchosha's Shinchō 45 magazine. When Shinchō 45 ceased publication in September 2018, the manga was transferred to Shinchosha's Shinchō magazine in December 2018. The manga is also available on the Kurage Bunch website. In July 2021, Shinchosha released the manga's 11th compiled book volume. At the 46th Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2019, the manga was nominated for Best Comic.
Yamazaki's Olympia Kyklos manga inspired a television anime shorts series that debuted in April 2020. Crunchyroll broadcast the anime live as it aired.
Yamazaki's Thermae Romae manga ended in March 2013. The manga was adapted into a three-episode anime series in 2012, as well as two live-action films starring Hiroshi Abe and Aya Ueto. The manga is published by Yen Press in North America, while the anime is licensed by Discotek. The anime is available on Crunchyroll with English subtitles and an English dub. The manga has inspired a new anime series, Thermae Romae Novae, which will premiere on Netflix in 2022.
