Although there currently exists very little details details apart from this, it appears the protoganist was referenced in the Cyberpunk 2077 game. Observant fans of might be able to recall the name “The David Martinez”, a drink available for purchase in the Afterlife bar in Night City. While that in itself doesn’t sound too exciting, it’s worth noting that only legendary figures get drinks named after them in the iconic bar.
What we know for sure is our that our titular Edgerunner, David Martinez does something to immortalize himself in the chronicles of night city. David chooses to pursue a life as an outlaw mercenary-for-hire willing to go toe-to-toe with the city’s most notorious cyber-psychos and criminals in his quest to become a so-called legend.
